SHOJIN RYORI AND MACROBIOTIC

SHOJIN RYORI is the best known example of traditional vegetarian and vegan dining in Japan often called as “devoted enlightenment cuisine” or Zen Buddhist Cuisine. Found his origin in China and brought to Japan in the 13th century. Perfected by Japanese monks as part of their spiritual practice, originally intended to make progress in the path of enlightenment.

MACROBIOTIC is a nutrition and health theory based on ideas of the Zen Buddhist cuisine Shojin Ryori developed by George Ohsawa in the late ’60 The word “macrobiotic” is derived from the Greek words for ‘great’ and ‘life’ This eastern philosophy is convinced that Yin and Yang influence all facets of life. Macrobiotic is aimed at preventing and curing diseases by adjusting and changing your diet.
